HAY!!

Lots of Hay! Orchard and Timothy Hay...

And 50 lbs of Timothy pellets!

Mum loves her Honda.

I love Timothy Hay!

Now, if she could only get parsley and cilantro by the bale...

It is better than bagged? We used oxbow hay right now.... then again we don't have room in the apartment for bales of hay.... just wondering!

nips-n-cuddles - glad you could stop by - i'm always happy to share!

Lola - Oxbow, from word on the street, is about the best you can get. Mum gives us Oxbow timothy pellets. But the cost of the bag vs a bale made a bale the sensible option with 6 rabbits that eat lots of hay. I'll let mum do a cost post for you all.

Hay Hay Hay ... if you say that right it is like what a character on an old TV show once said ... I think it was a guy name of Rerun?

For a moment I thought Archi Ann was writing poetry!

We buy bales too, but fortunately we have a place to store it. Oxbow Pellets for sure.

I can just see Fiona "hitting the wall"

Jackpot time! That looks really yummy for a bunny. I think parsley and cilantro would be better very fresh, so a bale of it would get all dried out before you could eat it all.

We have ordered the 50# bags from OxBow but the shipping is just too much. I think our local feed store can also get us the 50# bags, but we found that those had a lot of dust and powder in them, especially as you kept dipping into the bag! Thelast 1/3 of the bag was about 1/3 powder and we had a lot of green noses!

So we buy the 10# ones, but don't give too much per day per rabbit, less than 1/4 cup for our bunnies that are about Archi Ann's size.

We have tried the lower cost bulk pellets from Purina and others, but are most happy with OxBow and trying to encourage LOTS of hay!

And, finally, Rabbits' Guy lost the Budget Battle here at the House of Rabbits long ago! Nothing is too good for our bunns!

It was just easier to get a 2nd job!

Hi Archi and thanks for the comment on my blog!
I must admit that the car looks very much like Mr D's Volvo when we do our trip to the horse farm where we get hay in bales from. We get only one bale, though...after all, it's just 4 ...ahem.. 5 buns in the family, and a bale goes a loooong way.... (also because Hugo doesn't care for hay, would you believe it??).
Anyway...I shall be more cautious when posting fridge pics, I promise!(although Fiona passing out sounded quite funny...LOL!)
