Finally, she's off the computer

i've just been laying around here impatiently waiting for my mom to get off the computer so I CAN BLOG! mom decided since i'm so cool that i can blog she should be able to as well. sigh... now it's gonna be even harder to get her off the computer than it was before when it was just because she was "working" that she wouldn't let me use the computer!

but at least she named her new blog with the right focus... it's called archi's mum

good greens and tree climbin'

I'd say mom did a great job - lots of parsley and mustard greens and romaine... i definitely approve of her shopping trip last night!

oh and mom says you shouldn't worry about that cord you see back there - it's safely covered in Critter Cord and i can't stand the taste of the stuff unlike Bilbo who gobbled it up!











mom then went outside to feed Luther and Riena. Apparently they weren't as interested in the new greens. Luther took to his new hobby, tree climbing. I think he got the idea from seeing this Silly Wabbit

mom came home the other day and riena was under the tree but Luther wasn't around - then he came flying outta the little tree - he was about 3 feet up.

This morning he started up in the tree, looking for munchies, but then a truck noise scared him so he didn't go up any higher.

Here's a picture of me from this morning - I call it "I'm too sexy for my carrot"

This morning i got a baby carrot and lots of romaine. i also get lots of timothy hay tho my mom doesn't order me oxbow. but she does get me oxbow kibble and it's awesome. mom needs to go to the store to get my celery and then some other goodies

Oh and mom changed my living arrangements - i love it - no more prison bars!

However i guess i'm driving her a little nuts cuz when i'm eating i kind of forget that i'm going potty at the same time and i don't use my box. I use it all the time i just forget when i'm eating.

Today she even moved the food against the wall (because lakota keeps stealing it) and the box next to it and i still forget. she knows i'm trying my hardest.

Thanks to Messy Cucumber Boy Hugo, Mabel and Bungee's mum for asking about Bilbo. For those of you wondering how this cute little furry furry creature is doing -

I don't have any new pics. But the woman who adopted Bilbo is studying to be a vet from what i understand and has lots of animals including training search and rescue dogs. A real animal lover. And she was wanting a brown lop eared bunny. She loved little Bilbo from the getgo. My friend who knows her says Bilbo is doing great and enjoying her new digs. She's the only bunny there and does get some free range privileges.

So thank you for asking - I felt really good about the woman taking her and she's doing well! I do miss her some but have my hands full already. Archi is loving her freedom too - I wish I had realized a few years ago that I could let her run around but am glad I at least know now!

'round 'round get around i get around...

I get around pretty good, in spite of my funky front legs. I fell outta my cage when I was a baby bun and they've been like this ever since. My mom said I look like I'm doing the breast stroke when I walk. Last fall I fell off my shelf and now my left leg points backwards, it doesn't really work at all anymore. i make up for it with my bunnitude. i have to act tough around other bunnies so they don't know i'm not as fast, that's why i don't get along with them. i can do wind sprints and binkies. and i'm really enjoying being outta my house all the time. this morning i even woke up my mom - standing on my back legs and sniffing her face as she slept. i've never done that before. i just am really liking getting to run around and even am getting to like the dogs. i'm glad my mom found a good home for bilbo so that i could come out.

my name is archi because my mom's sister who had me when i was a baby thought i was a boy and because where the white meets brown on my back she said looks like Jughead from the Archie comics but she didn't want to name me Jughead so she named me archie. so my mom kept it - i like my name - it's very unique for a girl.

popcorn time

well i heard bilbo rave about movie nites and the popcorn... but i am not sure about the dogs, i've lived here for years but just don't trust them...


oliver especially worries me but my mom tells me he's very nice... and he is letting me eat the popcorn here...

yeah, i guess he's all right ... he's sharing with me

boy i know my mom misses bilbo but even tho i'm handicapped with my splayed front legs and useless left leg i am really enjoying getting to be out of my big house. this is nice

buhbye all my friends

well gosh, i guess it's time to say goodbye. i'm moving to a new home. my human kind of drives me nuts and i'm not really thrilled with the dogs (except when they share their popcorn of course). my human found me a home with another human where i'll be the only bunny and can take over the world :-) i can't wait.

i will miss all you my friends but i guess it looks like archi has already moved into my room here in the blogsphere. so she will be keeping you all up to date with her antics and those of the other critters.

Let it Snow!

Well, it's not S'POSED to snow in Southern California... in the desert of the Inland Empire (San Bernardino, Riverside, Fontana, Redlands, etc) ... but it did last Friday.

It didn't stick where i have dirt but if i had a grassy lawn it would have been white!

It was very pretty, and to watch the little flurries fall until the sun warmed us up a bit.

I love Movie Nite

i love it when my human kicks back to a movie - it's a great thing. i wish she'd do it more often. and lakota is a nice dog, she has no problem sharing with me.

My Posse

this is archi ann - we all call her archi - she's the other house rabbit i live with. we don't get to play together because she isn't interested in other rabbits. i can relate to that! in fact the only reason i'm introducing you to the other animals i live with is because my human told me to.

speaking of my human i have to give her a little credit - i don't think she's too bright but now i understand why she makes me stay in the cage when the black dog is here. i think that dog wants to eat me.

SACK TIME

to help me run drills and learn manuevers in training to be a part of Cinnamon's Army my human borrowed the Band of Brothers dvd set from a friend and learned all about combat.

then she worked me to the bone - drills, running, jumps, on and on and on and on and i'm just whooped

okay, so maybe i'm exaggerating a bit - she did watch the series over the Thanksgiving weekend and i did try a few things tho i don't think she realized i was taking notes... but i'm actually just pretty pooped from chewing thru the phone cord to her dsl line. she hadn't secured it because i left it alone for so long so i figured i'd show her! worked on it all night last night. tasted pretty good - kinda like chicken, oh no wait, i've never tasted chicken... tasted like radishes.

oh and even tho i chewed thru her cord when she got home from church today she brought me some cucumber. Thanks to Hugo and gang for that idea.

At first i confess i wasn't impressed, but once i started nibbling... man o man... i hear the outside bunnies aren't touching theirs so i gotta figure a way to sneak outside and steal it.

but first, i must finish my nap, followed by a little snooze time and then maybe i'll think about sneaking outside while i'm resting, draw up a plan, confer with Archi on tactics... nah, too much work...

This was FUN - i totally freaked my human out by hiding my arms... making her think i lost them in a lettuce farming incident or something. i thought she'd get all weird and try to catch me and make sure i was okay but all she did was chuckled and grabbed her camera.

LAUNDRY DAY!

this is a cool new thing - fresh clean laundry and my human doesn't get it put away very quickly... it's so soft and snuggly. of this, i do approve... oh, until she chased me off it.

i've been jailed. my human says it's because of another dog that is staying with us for a few days. i guess that dog chases bunnies. oliver and lakota are okay with bunnies but this dog jazz isn't.

so i'm stuck in my house for 3 days. and riena and luther, the outdoor bunnies, are in too - they actually got to be in my house cuz it's big and i'm in this small baby bunny house.

i protest!

well i guess it's only for a few days... i spose i can survive without my morning windsprints for a few days. sigh...

my human was watching a movie and had something called popcorn - i was in my little house munching on alfalfa hay and she gave me a couple pieces. it was great stuff. she said i should only have a few pieces. yet she gave the dogs a big old pile so i hopped outta my house and forgot my fear of the vicious animals and joined in on the feast. boy they eat fast! but i got a few more pieces that way. turns out the dogs aren't so bad. the big brown dog oliver is pretty hyper around me but the other dog, lakota, is really mellow and nice. i'm getting used to them and they shared their popcorn with me so they can't be all that bad :-D

these self improvement books really do work! just a few bites of How to Win Friends and Influence People got my human bringing me snacks. Not only did she bring me lettuce this morning, which i LOVE but i even got a piece of guava fruit... now i need to figure out how to get some of that every day!
